1 glossy box numero uno

my first glossy box has finally arrived! i was trying not to have high expectations so it was a pleasant surprise to find these inside...

bio oil, essie polish in smooth sailing, jurlique ultra firm and lift cream, bobbi brown cleansing oil, mirenesse 3D forever gloss in hot kiss and some pink jelly beans. pretty good first impression - i can't wait to get decembers box!

5 my place: my desk is popular

my desk has been popping up all over the place. most recently over at casa sugar, the lennoxx and net-vignette. now, unfortunately this means i am kind of over her current look and need a change. my hermes is back from the framer so this is a great time to give her a new look!

4 DIY: project chair: more progress

here is the next installment of project chair. i cracked open my new little sander and spent about 2 hours getting sanding away the layers of paint still left after the paint stripper job i did last weekend. it kind of looks like white washed wood now. i really wanted to get it right back to the original wood, so it looks like it's another weekend of sanding for me. next phase is varnishing/sealing it and then the fun part...choosing the fabric! stay tuned

0 my place: acquisition

i have had a hankering for some geometric goodness for a while now, remember this post? and then i was flicking through belle magazine and noticed this little bundle of joy (bottom left of page) and my heart skipped a beat...

i called up space furniture within a nano second and had my deposit taken within about 60 seconds, she finally arrived into the country last week. meet the meteor stool, designed by arik levy for serralunga - the very same designer that created the geometric objects i was lusting after in this post. it comes in various sizes, colours and materials, some even light up - i chose safe white (i was very tempted by the metallics but i wanted something a little less trend based) and I'm so excited to welcome her into my home. peep her first amateur shoot...

2 DIY: project chair: progression

so, i went into Bunnings on my way home from work this afternoon and purchased a beauty of a sander. it's a ryobi and it's neon green and it has a skinny attachment which is perfect for what i need to do. this project is getting more and more fun. i can't wait until this pesky rain stops so i can go outside and get sanding!
