0 {blamo} art toys

You know how much I love a decorative object right? Well thanks again Instagram for introducing me to yet another beautiful set of objects to covet, Blamo art toys - an independent art toy company founded in 2006 in Los Angeles. I saw Rice Baby (above) on the House of Honey page and followed that link pronto. how cute is their 'about me'...

Blamoville is a sorry-less land filled with creatures that share a common love for outrageous adventure, be it a solo train ride through the mountains, a good meal with a friend, or a party on a pirate ship. Swashbuckling, bouncing, flying or crying...whatever adventure awaits, be sure that it is one to remember! In Blamoville there are no sorrys, so put your sorrys in a sack and come out to play.

...check out the full collection here (I feel like baby George needs one of these for his first birthday)

5 art & toys

pic: Jermain Raffington & Clemens Poloczek

i am totally in awe of this exhibit of selim varol's 15,000 strong toy collection held at the collectors room in berlin. this guy has them ALL, including of course the holy grail (below). selim is 39 years old and obviously still a kid a heart, he began  this collection in his early childhood and now lays claim to one of the biggest collections of figurines in Europe - awesome

4 muscle man marc

muscle man marc!? i think i need this toy, from the south park boys in collaboration with marc jacobs after his stint on the TV show. only 500 were made (and they cost $125 usd) so i don't think this one's going to happen because, as per freakin' usual, they don't ship internationally! hopefully they still have one in stock when Alice goes there in September - fingers crossed!

3 house envy: emilia/de/poret

pic: skona hem

'marie antoinette goes tokyo madness' is how singer/songwriter emilia de poret describes her home in Sweden, which is actually the renovated house she grew up in as a child. she is married to the son of 1950's hermes scarf designer xavier de poret which explains the collection she has framed (all his designs). her love of tokyo has sparked her obsession with bearbricks - she now has over 40! and that pink piano is pretty faboo too don't you think? i wish there were more pics!

4 mega munny

so i have my regular munny that i bought from kidrobot on a trip to NYC about 5 years ago and he has done his job just fine, sitting there looking all cute and forlorn (and mixing in nicely with any vignette i devise due to his white skin) but now i want his bigger, bolder, better brother, mega munny. how great does mega munny look out and about and nestling comfortably in peep's homes? adorable. i think i will go for white again because it's easier but Jules did say he would like a big fat blue-y. maybe i should let him win this one? (obv i adore the lilac colour but i think it's too girly for him) watch this space...
