May I just start by saying I had a weird dream last week that I was going to give birth today (4 weeks before due date) so I am freaked out today, plus I still have 4 weeks owing to me of solid couch resting Real Housewives watching, cupcake eating time. Now let's get to business. I am slightly infatuated with everything neoprene, I don't think I am cool enough to wear it in this form but boy is it cute! The top is from Melbourne brand WITU, the pink wire Lismore stool is new Freedom as is the white Lovett coffee table, the white egg vase is Moooi available from Space Furniture, below is the Web Bench from Freedom

Also new to my little peepers is this adorbs mickey mouse skull from Lunar Store in Melbourne

1 pink (and a quick baby update)

Seeing this couch on Insta via Sara Kate Studios feed inspired me to do another virtual hunt for pink in the marketplace, it's really an ongoing battle with me I know, this whets my appetite though so at least poor Jules isn't living in Barbie's dream home. Let's start with this Coco Republic Bali ceramic table lamp below, I think it's like $800 per lamp so these are out (right?)

A little closer to earth there is the Alina bedding from IKEA and this gorgeous frayed linen from West Elm which is a more masculine friendly amethyst, and on sale! Westy also had some loverly amethyst Mongolian fur mini cushions on sale but I had to resist as I already have 2 sheepies, one Mongolian cushion in the nursery and a zebra and cow hide - CALM DOWN with the animal skins methinks (says she who just barely resisted a dove grey shaggy Mongolian fur throw at Quintessence on the way to do the weekly shop at dirty North bridge Plaza) listen, at least I have some self control, some. It's actually probably a blessing I'm having a boy as imagine the license it would give me to go nuts if it were a girl?

In other anecdotal news, I was at my 31 week check up and the midwife said I was carrying very neatly and that my stomach muscles were very tight and made my stomach very hard (my fat dispersed for a second) and Jules rudely told her that they were my 'McDominals' (as opposed to abdominals). Everyone thought this was hilarious, it's just plain mean, then I bought TimTams.

Things claudia needs to let go of: having a pink nursery. Yes, I'm have a boy. My fantasy of soft pinky salmon and grey colour schemes are gone. Kaput. Over. I'm going to have to start re focusing on the possibilities. Sorry but blue doesn't do anything for me (unless it's denim or nautical stripes, bien sur). I'm going to indulge my loss in a sea of images dedicated to the loverly blush hue

doing my daily scroll through instagram and thefigintherose alerted me to this lamp on beige and burlap's page. she seems to be a bunny williams look-a-like (sans gold base) and boy is she pretty. kate thinks i should make it a 'March DIY', i actually have a lamp that's similar in shape, remember this one?

it has 3 spheres and is quite big with a mushroom coloured shade. i wonder how much i would ruin it if i hated the result? dare i? or should i wait until i find a less expensive lamp op shopping and test it out first? especially considering i schlepped this one all the way back from queenstown...

yes, i just died a little bit when i saw this sofa from furbish. it's called the pink lines settee and is LONG gone but oh how i covet thee and WILL find a way to get one...

any of you watch million dollar decorators on foxtel? being the pink devotee that i am it's no surprise i fell in love with ross cassidy's makeover of amber valetta's bedroom. he described the pink as 'le shocking' - elsa schiaparelli's signature colour and a term coined by french lingerie shops. the walls are grasscloth by phillip jeffries and the ceiling - my favourite part of all - is hand painted wallpaper by kelly porter. this room really challenges my beliefs around sticking with a neutral base. the first question is, how would jules feel waking up to this? the second question is, do i care? i mean, jules mentioned the nice new painting hanging above our bed this morning, it has been hanging there for 3 MONTHS, case in point...

i was so impressed with this IKEA hack i had to share, it's the RAST chest of drawers completely transformed very cleverly by Louisa from for chic sake, click on the link to see the full tutorial. and here is another with the RAST in blue

2 a facet a day {pink}

groovy geometric pink fabric sculpture from Etsy seller osik (olga) khomenko. khomenko uses a "unique technique that combines singeing, melting, sculpting, molding and weaving (and of course there's more to it, but sometimes I'm not even sure if there's a proper name for what I'm doing). I don't use any threads or glues in my creations - it's just fabrics, fire, a lot of patience and a lot of fun!"

i fall for a cute scarf every time. it was only today i was taking something to the framers and there was a lady in there who has started a business sourcing vintage fashion forward scarves, framing them then selling them on, she had a bright zodiac themed celine that i had a coronary over, she is thinking about selling it to me - fingers crossed! anyway, back to this post, loving these pastel zoo scarves from bay and fyfe by daimon downey

5 need/storage

i need something like this for the spare room/office. i have a tall ikea side-less one at the moment but its not weighty enough and hannah has bought my big ottoman that was at the back of the room so i need something to replace and fill the space. i love how this one is floating, because we are renting i obviously can't have that, but i would love something similar (this one is from montana). i also really love the thin lines as opposed to chunky ikea sides (although this ikea one looks okay) any suggestions of where to look in sydney are greatly appreciated!
