remember this post with the swoony cushions? they are the work of madeline weinrib - fabric mastermind. carpets, pillows, fabrics, fashion, furniture and accessories, this lady has her hand in it all. i am particularly fond of her ikat prints (and how insane is this chair!) unfortunately for us her atelier and showroom are in new york, even more of a bummer? she does not seem to have stockists in australia BOO! (update: Madeline Weinrib Atelier in New York City sends carpets all over the world and will gladly ship samples or carpets to Australia. Please contact them directly at (212) 473-3000 x3780 or http://www.madelineweinrib.com/) below are some shots from her own home from elle decor, click here to see the full tour

i was having an eensy peruse in coco republic yesterday when i spied this fuchsia african map fabric. it comes from south africa from a company called 'design team' helmed by two women who say they are "influenced and inspired by the colours, nature, people and ever changing social dynamics of our country". my pick is the 'towns' fabric in white coral cotton. locally, they can be sourced via their agents in mosman, sydney (rossetti fabrics)
