0 hello!

I know I have been RUBBISH with my blog for the past 6 months, this KAWS Companion represents how I feel about myself and my lack of posts, he also represents something I want to buy, surprise surprise! (anyone know where to get them in Sydney?) But I digress, I have been super busy shooting lots of lovely homes for Adore, taking on lots of new private decorating clients and being involved in STYLECT decorating online, all this and taking care of little George Teddy. That is why I am very slack, very rubbish. I promise I'll get better, I have been madly tagging every page in Belle being so inspired, also I'm moving in 8 weeks so its another whole new adventure of decorating on the home front, #chateaupeep will be back in full force.

More importantly, have you seen Hermes has done an Ikat range in their porcelain? Heaven

Here's a little snippet of George sticking his finger up his nose to leave you with...until next time (soon I promise!)

15 some news

So - there is a new room that needs decorating in my apartment and - as you can already see below - you can guess what room that might be. I'm very excited (as excited as I can be while feeling like I have the worlds worst hangover 24 hours a day) to announce I'm preggers. Now what does one do when they finally get through that first 3 months? Purchase essential nursery items of course! So you're thinking the cot or change table... not for me. I went straight to the source of my joy - Hermes. One baby H blanket in noisette later and I'm feeling like I've got all my bases covered. Lucky I have my first hospital appointment this week so they can confirm how wise this first purchase was. At least I have a starting off point to build on right? I promise I will not turn this into a babies adventures blog but I just may sneak in a few nursery decorating updates.

Seeing this little creep inside me for the first time was very overwhelming, having been trying for so long it was a relief to know it was all real!

Hoorah to my ovaries for finally cooperating!

2 hello horsey

my girlfriend zoie and i went horse riding at glenworth valley last week, i have been dying to get back into riding after a 10 year hiatus (i owned a horse for the better part of my childhood and teens) and luckily i hadn't seem to have lost my confidence, although i was scared just before i had to mount, my horse stanley was HUGE

it felt really good to be back riding again if not a little painful, my knees were crazy sore during the ride but fine after wards

me on stanley left and zoie on astro right.

shame - there were no eggs in sight for me to pillage from the emu's...

if you're in sydney glenworth valley is a really great place to ride, quiet and scenic only a short drive out of sydney

2 NYE

how was your NYE? mine was quite tame (designated driver) and i wanted to be comfy so i decided to dress as a 15 year old homeboy (not intentional but i got 'hey 2 pac' etc all night) at least my nails were girly and basically a party in a bottle

sneaks are zara, necklace diva, clutch marc by marc, and pants are cue. here is a selfie pre leaving (rare for me, i know)

and this is pretty much the sum of my night - watching jules win a ping pong tournament before dragging my tired ass home...

hope you had a better night than moi!

11 go me!

is it okay to blow your own horn sometimes? well i'm going to anyway. i know it's not much, but when you start a blog fully expecting it to go nowhere other than as a space to document your creative ideas/inspirations it's kind of cool when someone else acknowledges your stuff. which is why i was so chuffed that a lovely follower showed me that the coveteur pinned a photo hannah took of a vignette in my place. that and the fact that my weekly posts have gone live over at the cosmopolitan magazines website. okay that's all for the next year, promise no more shameless bragging (even if it is only little, it seems big for me!)

7 day in the life {op shopping}

if you're following me on instagram (peepmystyle) you would already have seen these pics of my very successful day op shopping last saturday so for those that do not have instagram here was what i found...

this robert plumb sofa was a steal at $225 (retails for $1275!) sal, did you end up buying it?

this deco side table was heaven minus the pastel paint job

i puch'd these european sized cushions for $6 each

but didn't get the darts and when i went back to get them they were gone :(

this shell was way too pricey for me but a beauty all the same

after instagram-ming this vignette Alice asked me to buy it for her and i am happy to say it's now safely home with her

a sucker for literature i can't actually read

how good is this bear skin? i didn't buy it on the spot and when i went back it was also gone (clearly not learning my lesson)

now this coffee table above was my biggest regret - i should have snapped him up immediately but i thought i was on such a roll i would find other things i wanted more - the moral of this story - buy things straight away!

how sweet is this little writing desk? and the nepalese rug in dusty pinks was heaven despite the price tag ($250) but the lady came out to me and told me to come back later and they would drop the price for me (watch this space)

bodum pepper grinder a la mickey mouse

moi en route to the last destination where i found this mechanical dinosaur

and scooped up these marble bookends for $10

now that i have instagram i will get to take you on ALL my op shopping trips so i hope you liked the first proper documented journey

5 i knew i was cool...

i knew i was cool (despite what my husband said) when i wore this nike sweater with my denim and some gold miu miu's. he told me that i had made a mistake (he actually said 'whoopsies, you made a mistake' which is something we reserve for when we see particularly poorly dressed people - we're total bitches) and i tried to explain that this look is super cool and hasn't he read vogue lately? well ha! this street style pic from the daily movement proves it, i am cool (but not as cool as the daily movement) and now all i need is some more jewelry and a red nail. see you soon nail salon!
