2 NYE

how was your NYE? mine was quite tame (designated driver) and i wanted to be comfy so i decided to dress as a 15 year old homeboy (not intentional but i got 'hey 2 pac' etc all night) at least my nails were girly and basically a party in a bottle

sneaks are zara, necklace diva, clutch marc by marc, and pants are cue. here is a selfie pre leaving (rare for me, i know)

and this is pretty much the sum of my night - watching jules win a ping pong tournament before dragging my tired ass home...

we went for family dinner at my little brother's best friend mike's families house. i snooped in his little brother jack's room (i love teen boys stuff) and wasn't disappointed. huge orange speakers, skateboards, skulls and more!

jack is a 19 year old science student and he had finished the subjects on molecules so he gave me one of his kits (YAY!) and even made me a cyclohexanoic acid structure

and finally this sweet display shelf was at vinnies - i was sorely tempted (a black makeover?) but i didn't succumb, i have to be very sparing with what i buy at the moment due to lack of storage

this japanese screen came as a part of a massive set at my local vinnies store, it is really beautiful in the flesh and only $350

after seeing Anne's egg triumph we borrowed this book from Kate to source the next eggs art

a quick trip to Serin Cini to borrow some goodies for the BedNest shoot. above, cotton coral and below limoges

i didn't buy the rearing horse but i did buy the nail bed as a desk accoutrement

bec bought this octagonal terrarium and i spied this amazing old cabinet at goodwill

oh and how could i forget my best ever fashion finds at a goodwill? check out these Valentino stud flats and the sequin Prada!

unfortunately the flats were a size 35...

5 op shop trip

$2 wooden pineapple dish for Alice (goodwill) and a nice selection of beautiful old books

everyone on instagram seemed to love this coffee table so after a quick think i went back and bought it (usually when i leave to think something over it's gone when i get back, i use this as a fate-o-meter). rest assured it's now nestled safely in storage until i move out...oh, and it was only $30...
