after i posted this sweet little table on instagram on one of my op shopping mornings my friend bec decided she needed it in her life and snapped it up...

...she sanded it down and painted it gloss black then styled it up - looks awesome bec!

2 hello horsey

my girlfriend zoie and i went horse riding at glenworth valley last week, i have been dying to get back into riding after a 10 year hiatus (i owned a horse for the better part of my childhood and teens) and luckily i hadn't seem to have lost my confidence, although i was scared just before i had to mount, my horse stanley was HUGE

 

it felt really good to be back riding again if not a little painful, my knees were crazy sore during the ride but fine after wards

shame - there were no eggs in sight for me to pillage from the emu's...

if you're in sydney glenworth valley is a really great place to ride, quiet and scenic only a short drive out of sydney

i met Damien aka the material sleuth after my hair dresser convinced me to go to his cardio boxing classes (i was the annoying girl who refused to do anything very strenuous and my preferred exercise was the reverse plank i.e. lying on my back) despite me being a complete annoyance, we became friends and i got to meet and - also befriend - his beautiful wife Bec. story out of the way now, Damien has hand crafted this absolute dream deck from leather and studs. i am literally having minor heart convulsions, and the best bit? he's making me one too! i think i need a Hugh Holland photograph to go with it don't you think?

0 closet clean out

 if you're interested, my friend Jacqui is having a big wardrobe clean out with lots of Chanel, Prada, DVF and more. since eBay are tricky bastards, she had to spread her bounty over 3 accounts (her selling limits weren't high enough!)

3 bonjour marin!

my girl ChipChop! has come out with a brand spanking new range for S/S12 called Bonjour Marin! (hello sailor) and it's an AB (absolute beauty) (don't you love her use of exclamations? they make everything seem fun and exciting!) think tie dye leather jackets, soft scarves and sorbet coloured raglan tees, and of course there are the usual suspects: witty tees, silk dresses and skinnies

my picks are the soda pop raglan, the seven seas scarf in latte rope and the jewel in the crown - this jack sparrow leather jacket freakin' swoon!

1 lucy's place/snippets

welcome to chez lucy, a little haven tucked up the back of a deco building. she works wonders with a small space and loves a redesign every now and then. her place is full of books, muted tones, vintage chairs and glassware. hopefully she will let us in for a better look when she's all done!

a few shots from my hens on saturday night. my beautiful (and talented) friend nikki g hosted us at her amazing apartment in potts point for dinner and drinks. thanks so much to all my girls for coming to celebrate with me and for bringing lot of french for me to drink! and a huge thanks to lucy and alice for commissioning such a masterpiece of a cake - are you impressed? maybe disgusted?
