5 jess/hart/outfit

pic: fabsugar

really into this outfit on jess hart. she makes the mumsy alma bag look so freakin' good! anyone know where the sweater is from? i am also in the market for a camel coat, i tried on the witchery one but it was a bit blah, and i have just got some new denim very much like these ones she wears. and what are peoples thoughts on the vuitton scarf, done to death? either way, i love this look!

5 if my style were a picture

if my style cold be captured in a picture THIS is it. from the colour of the denim and the grey top to the choice in bag and sneaker and wrist wear. this is as good as it gets for me.

1 iphoto theme no. 59/fur/fashion

i feel guilty for liking the look of fur. i think it's disgusting to mistreat animals and i have more empathy for animals than people but i can't help it. anyway, moral issues aside, peep this lot from my iphoto, i was particularly lusting after the isabel marant multi coloured fur (top) for a while there, but to be honest i would probably never wear a fur jacket akin to these, a bit too much for my style. but in my home? i am a lot braver, springbok hide, llama throw, sheepy rug...i've got them all

0 vanessa jackman

for those of you looking for a quality street style blog to follow that isn't just about the loudest/brightest neon accessories, eddie borgo jewellry or celine bags, look no further than Vanessa Jackman. as a fellow aussie girl (now living in london) she was kind enough to send me this pic for my apartment which i adore (obviously, as it's neon fur). the girls she captures will make you sick with envy, seriously you must peep her blog here...

1 inspiration for the day

the top pic is of stylist and interior designer Estee Stanley's wardrobe which is so rich and masculine (those chairs!) and the bottom pic is, of course, from Paris Haute Couture week. i mean really, do those girls really all hang out? do they coordinate? BBM each other every morning? there's probably $5000 worth of chausseur on that one zebra crossing...mon dieu!

0 in the pink

pink is one of those colours that i struggle with - especially the attention grabbing hues around at the moment. as mentioned before, my study has MANY hints of pink and i recently tried to sneak in a neon pink ipad case (shared with the BF) to no avail - it's now gone to a better home. its quite easy for me to use pink in my home - flowers, prints, cushions etc but with fashion it becomes more difficult. the girls pictured are very deliberate in their attention grabbing garb and there is part of me that is envious of their boldness but even when i have purchased the odd pink confection, to date, none have really made it out of the closet. i think i will stick to my clumps of pink pencils,
kelly wearstler mac background and prints and leave the fashion to the pros.

0 prada

i haven't thought much of prada up until recently. now I'm not saying the fur is something i would walk down the street wearing, these are strictly for viewing pleasure, but there is something very attractive about the bright pops of colour and fur as a texture is always something i am attracted to (see my screen saver on the 'my desk' post) plus,  country road did a great knit version of the colour block sweater which i got in their second run of it. either way, i keep coming back to these images, but maybe its not prada, maybe its just the clever street style photographers...
