Christmas magazine issues make me hungry for stuff. Things. Gold things, marble things, faceted things, sniffy things. It doesn't help that it's also my birthday at the beginning of December, I get extra greedy. Here are a few of my favourite things...

Jules bought me these pants after i saw them over at paula joye's life.styled, so that wasn't much of a surprise, mum got me some country road essentials too.

i braved the boxing day sales in the city, it was pretty quiet all morning except in DJ's which is standard, i only bought a top from CR and ummed and ahhed over this willow jacket until i decided i really couldn't justify a $696.50 jacket at the beginning of summer!

4 pressie time!

birthday time has come around again (yes it was a whole 8 days ago but i only celebrated on saturday night properly) so here's my show and tell...

jules sent me fleurs to work from portobello rose (heaven)

and alice sent me a choc-o-gram, unfortunately it was already melting when it arrived! alice's beloved Si bought me some delicious roses

and THE most amazing book from kelly wearstler - i didn't think it could get better than HUE but she has outdone herself with rhapsody

4 pressie time!

house sitting for peeps on holidays means pressie upon return! and kate is a very good present giver. these lead filled delights from jonathan adler are a treat, as is this guide to living colourfully from kate spade...

then to top it off she presented me with this urchin ornament i have been instagram-ming the whole time i was at her place - she takes a hint hey...

3 i went shopping in NYC {without leaving the house} part three

this is part three of my shopping haul from a recent trip i did not make to NYC. lucky for me i have two very clever women in my life now that have got me down pat. S-I-L Alice and M-I-L Anne went to NYC for two weeks and came back with exactly what i would have bought myself had i gone. i still can't get over the goodness. this is the last lot, starting with the best coloured box, a sweet little hermes face wash, naturally this will not actually be used but will definitely pretty up the new bathroom! 

alice always brings back cute coloured m&m's from her trips and keeps them displayed in cute glass jars (until i eat them) so i asked her to fill me up! (they spent over $80 in the m&m shop - issues?)

this is part two of my shopping haul from a recent trip i did not make to NYC. lucky for me i have two very clever women in my life now that have got me down pat. S-I-L Alice and M-I-L Anne went to NYC for two weeks and came back with exactly what i would have bought myself had i gone. i still can't get over the goodness. this is the toys post...

can you imagine a more perfect trio? the munny on the left is a welcome addition to my light coloured family and he came with the best accessory i think i have ever seen (those goggles!) the bunny was a no brainer - white faceted animal? and then the little guy in the middle came from patricia fields shop and will be a good one for small vignettes.

2 damien/hirst/jasper/conran

my beautiful london residing friend lauren gave me these 3-d pictures as a wedding gift. she went to the damien hirst exhibition in london before coming home to australia and made me these gorgeous little pictures, full of cigarette butts and pills, just the right amount of grit for me! thanks lozzy xx

and speaking of wedding gifts, i also got these jasper conran plates which i am in LOVE with - i feel very brave having dinner ware that isn't all white!

7 my place: biggie smalls

ok - so me and my beloved LOVE biggie smalls, so much so that when  i saw the one jennifer fisher has (above) on the coveteur my heart skipped a beat and i had one on its way to me within about 5 minutes, hold on, when i say me, i mean for my partner, it was part of his xmas present and it only arrived TODAY!! boo UK shipping. regardless, he loves it and biggie has officially been domed in the lounge room. here he is in 'le studio'
