10 i'm getting hitched today!

i can't actually believe this day is here, after months and months of planning it will all be over in a matter of hours when julian and i will be husband and wife! i am so excited to begin this next part of my life (i get excited about alot of things but this is the most exciting of all). i look forward to relaxing on my honeymoon and coming back to share some photos with you all. thanks for continuing to visit me and for leaving your comments, they are always appreciated! see you later miss...hello mrs!

4 leaving on a jit plane, again

so today has finally come, i am leaving on a jit plane (again) to go get married in queenstown, new zealand. while i am away i have scheduled all my posts so keep checking in! you will also see some guest posts for the first time which i hope you enjoy as much as i did. 


my bags are packed, dress is in it's hangy bag, hens and bucks are over, only 2 more sleeps to go. wish me luck!

a few shots from my hens on saturday night. my beautiful (and talented) friend nikki g hosted us at her amazing apartment in potts point for dinner and drinks. thanks so much to all my girls for coming to celebrate with me and for bringing lot of french for me to drink! and a huge thanks to lucy and alice for commissioning such a masterpiece of a cake - are you impressed? maybe disgusted?

i have been on a mission ever since i saw jessica stam's heavenly mint green sofa to find something similar, this one from jonathan adler fits the bill perfectly i think! when i live in a house with parquet floors and white walls (so that may be never) this is the sofa that will live there.

i have been searching high and low for these photographs taken by jean-francois jassaud featured in the august 2006 instyle magazine of paul & joe designer sophie albou's paris home. freakin' finally! yes there are only a few but if i found these, then there must be more out there on the internets! i will keep looking and if i find more you will be the first to know. i must also note that i am quite obsessed with her limited edition Fernando and Humberto Campana banquete chair.

1 paint splatter

I am seriously in love with this orchid stem i bought from portobello rose this morning as a treat. she is sitting in an old jar on my coffee table now in all her paint splatter-ly glory. i needed another orchid but as i am leaving in 2 weeks (!!!) there is not much point as it will die while i am away so this was my substitute. in other news, i had a facial today, finished some wedding chores and we are having our MC over for a salmon dinner. i hope you are all going to have a deliciously relaxing weekend like moi!

10 kitchen tea

sunday was my kitchen tea at my future mother in law's house. it was a spectacular afternoon, my friends and family went to SO much effort to help celebrate our marriage and i am so grateful to them all! thanks especially go to Anne, Alice, Hannah, mum and Helen for all the glorious food and decorating - how amazing is the centerpiece on the dining table Anne created?!?

i especially loved the nest with dinosaur egg!

most of this was hand made and tasted out of this world good

my friends and family got together to get us the most incredible gift! remember when i talked about this tribecca bed head from bed nest? it was such a great and overwhelming gift (that's Alice and Lucy trying out new bed)
