0 jemma sands {fig interiors}

If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed my obsession with California based jeweller Jemma Sands. Described as unpretentious luxury, her jewels reflect her love of the water and all things beach culture {these bad boys are designed to be worn on holiday and don't need to be removed before swimming!} I am lucky enough to own two very lovely pieces, the shark tooth Jax bracelet and the Namaste raw diamond and moonstone bracelet. Locally the only place to go for these delicious jewels is Fig Interiors and she is always ordering more so pop in and check them out (and while you're there try and resist the Nepalese cashmere scarves, the french chopping boards or the blue velvet throw cushions - couch jewellry!) I road tested the goods while on my trip to Hawaii and can guarantee that they are pool, ocean, suncream and sand proof, mine didn't leave my wrist all week and still looks as good as it did the day I got it. Run, don't walk...

5 ma jewels

my collection of key rings

i want new jewellry storage, i currently have everything in one of these but it's boring and i want something new, i don't want everything in separate bowls or anything either - suggestions? so while i was contemplating important things like jewellry storage i decided to do a bit of an inventory to share with you all, i discovered that i don't change my jewellry an awful lot so alot of it goes unworn (that's also because my skin reacts with almost all costume jewellry which is kind of lucky i guess, because i HAVE to wear only precious metals), i just stick to my jordy askill heart and my wedding rings plus the star pendant mum and dad gave me for my 21st (below)

everyday 'don't leave my body' jewels

necklaces and pendants collected over the years

my rings, the coral one jules gave me in fiji and said it was my engagement ring

my entire earring collection - i obviously don't wear them much, i leave the ones in that i got them pierced with as they don't irritate me. the cones are eddie borgo which i wore at my wedding and the other single is made from diamonds from an old ring i had been given

bangles! i got the pink hermes from mum and dad for graduating from my masters degree  and the cream was for my 30th, the snake is vintage from a shop in paddington, the louis vuitton was from ebay and the faceted gold was a gift from a friend by marc jacobs.

i also have a small collection of fabric bracelets from various people which i rotate if i am feeling i need more variety on my person

my obsession - the cartier panthere ring - of course these are not from cartier but when equip came out with them i bought a gazillion! one day the real deal will be mine, even if i have to rob rachel zoe

the moral of my jewellry story is 'claudia, stop buying costume jewellry, you will never wear it!' (but it is pretty to look at!)

0 molten store/facets

my friend zoie (she with the fly shoes) introduced me to molten store after seeing her chunky gold ring collection. of course i go staight to the faceted ring don't i? these are my picks from this little gold mine, clockwise from top left: pony rider fur clutch, the maverick fox fur tail in magenta, asperitatus bangle in gold, large pyrite ring, permian bracelet, galaxy ring and the slow fade copper choker. they also do a sweet little online mag, check it out here!

2 again, i know

sorry to keep boring the shit out of you with my obsession with this jewellry i can't afford but i cannot resist these berbere cuffs from gaia repossi. it's probably because i am currently looking for my wedding earrings that need to be rose gold (any suggestions for where to look?) and repossi does rose gold best, so how can anything else compete? and how good would a berbere ear cuff look?

9 rings

i need a new friend for my rings (the jordy askill was purchsed years ago and has been reshaped a million times because i keep bending it and the pink gold love band was my engagement ring). i am particularly enamored with the forefinger ring variety and, predictibly, anything gaia repossi (this one please). i am getting a wedding band made this week which is skinny and sparkly in pink gold but i want something that is more costume-y without being costume jewellry because, as luck would have it, anything other than silver or gold tends to explode on my body, even gold plated doesnt work. does anyone have any suggestions?

1 hillier

she is the designer behind marc by marc accessories, luella and loewe to name but three of her creative accomplishments. now you can buy a piece of katie hillier directly from her. described as 'luxury with a wink' her collection of paperclip animals and sweet accessories are super fun as well as being made from precious metals and jewels. you can buy them here and read katie's blog for vogue uk here. peep my picks...

0 jewelled

some jewels i am coveting at the moment. in the mix: pamela love, anita ko and eddie borgo - natch. i'm going to try to convince my betrothed that he needs the eddie borgo skull signet ring for the wedding. and of course, these brands are all sold on net-a-porter if you are interested in making a very clever purchase.

0 sophia/mann

i remember seeing this jewelry in UK Vogue back in 2010 and saving a picture of the silver brooch. i was flicking through said vogue today and stumbled on the same article. these hand crafted one of a kind pieces are the creation of sophia mann, a graduate of london's central saint martins who got her big break with sotheby's. they are inspired by the human skeleton's framework and are made from semi precious and precious stones, beads and metal - read quite expensive, but in my opinion worth every penny (pound).

3 JULIA deVILLE

i was introduced to New Zealnd native Julia deVille's work through Hayley Smith, creator of Serpent and the Swan who is obsessed with
mourning jewellry. Julia has been fascinated with the macabre from young age, hence the name of her label 'Disce Mori' from the Latin phrase meaning 'learning to die'. her subjects are deceased, taxidermic animals mostly donated or found by deVille herself. on offer are a deceased bird with diamond eyes, a blue feathered wing brooch, a mouse with sterling silver tail and the most amazing, a rabbit with sterling silver rib cage and ruby hanging as the heart. you have to see it for yourself! here are a few of her more wearable pieces...

3 let's be friends

i usually have a bit going on in the wrist wear department, namely a fine gold chain, a chunky gold chain with neon thread woven through and a mushroom coloured Laurence Oppermann thread bracelet (from Via Rustica). more recently, ispired by the likes of Louise at Table Tonic and Leandra over at Man Repeller, i have amassed a small collection of friendship bracelets. at the moment they are just sleeping in a box because sometimes i just want an unfussy look and it's a hassle to keep taking them off, putting them back on etc. anyways - i thought this tutorial from P.S I made this was super cute and inspired me to do some D.I.Y.(yet to do the D.I.Y)

here is a pic of my wrist wear...

pic: obviously me as it's so crappy
