2 bednest shoot

these are the two looks i did for bednest, the one one the left is the 'art' room and the right is the 'hollywood' room. i was lucky enough to be able to borrow some delicious goodies including the french word pillow cases from chipchop!, the cultiver bed linen, the table tonic Moroccan wedding blanket, the teal ceramic stool from FIG and the glass lamps from divine designs. and of course my home made faceted delights stack! don't you just want to jump into bed?

cultiver has finally opened it's virtual doors and i have been extraordinarily spoilt because i get to test drive these bad boys, look what showed up at work today

unfortunately because of my situation i am not going to be able to show you these on my bed until we find a new place but let me tell you, making the bed is going to be the FIRST thing i do when we move and of course i will bring you along for the ride. so until then, here is a little sneak peek...

7 cultiver

photography by hannah blackmore

very excited about this one - dreamy linen for your boudoir soon to be available at cultiver. i met with nicolle who is the lady behind the linen to find out a bit more about her story...

Nicolle has a background in finance (very non creative like me!) and when she fell pregnant it was the perfect time to indulge her creative thoughts, what resulted is Cultiver - the french verb 'to cultivate'. Nic has always loved the look and feel of washed linen and kept seeing pinterest pins of beds swathed in luxe linens with the phrases, 'if only' and 'wish list', Nic wanted to make these amazing linens available to everyone now, so the prices are reflective of this. she has cultivated a small capsule collection in charcoal gray and bright white to suit any home and any bed, whether it's an ultra modern or vintage vibe you want, this linen will go perfectly. it can be dressed up with fur and velvet in the winter and for the warmer months it looks fresh with pops of neon - the styling choices are endless plus they last a lifetime and look even better with wear. Cultiver will open within the next month with king and queen duvet covers and sheet sets plus european pillow cases, and with very reasonable prices, this is one luxury you will be able to afford.

i will let you all know as soon as the site is live...

5 a nice surprise

is anyone watching the block? i have seen snippets here and there and after reading this months real living i was super surprised to see this bedroom was one of the rooms dan and dani produced on the show. i love that deep blue wall, the abstract artwork from fenton and fenton and that jewelled cushion and bed linen - all from fenton and fenton which set them back a huge $3000, spending big on bed linen really made the world of difference - i am obsessing over rough linen at the moment but it is very costly. that little pendant light is 'the beat light' from tom dixon, who i blogged about a few days ago. this room has got me sucked in, i just might tune in again!
