6 house envy: byron view farm

i was lucky enough to attend a beautiful wedding last weekend in byron for some close friends of ours. the reception was held at byron view farm, this place is EXQUISITE. you can enjoy 360 degree views on the wrap around balcony and relax in their beautiful outdoor furniture. this is where we had canapes before the reception during the most perfect sunset.

the cottage is only small so this is the centre of the place, those single bulb pendants worked so well in the space. the coffee table was full of kuehn keramik (a favourite of mine) and there were textured rugs everywhere, cow hide, moroccan etc. i loved all the little accessories, as you know i am an accessories girl so this place was right up my alley, i could have shopped the whole place and left it bare!

these peeps know how to do a vignette, and judging by the photos i have found they change it up quite a bit to keep it fresh (i took this one above)

the kitchen was small but also amazing, the counter top was marble and the door knobs (sorry i didn't get a pic) were all different animal heads, i will try and track them down! (found them! click here)

dutch designed cotton wool neon bedspread anyone? and that eames hang it all? heaven

and last but not least, my favourite room of the house had to be the bathroom, that sink was INSANE and with the subway tiles and the checkered floor? they had cire trudon candles and the shower was stocked with aesop products, they really are super detail oriented. i could move into that place now and not change a thing.

4 weekend at byron

i had a beautiful weekend away at byron for a wedding last weekend, we stayed close to town so we didnt need to hire a car and we walked everywhere which was really nice as the weather was cool but sunny (i feel the cold alot more than Jules so he was in his havianans all weekend but i needed sneaks!)

the beaches were pretty amazing and the water temperature was around 22 degrees which made for perfect swimming weather but i came unprepared  as i thought it would be freezing so no swims for me!

the wedding was in the most adorable chapel called eureka in the hinterland, everything went off without a hitch and the bride looked spectacular. i was particularly enamoured with the ceiling which looked tiled and the deco lights were a perfect fit.

vintage silver merc which was SO them, i loved the little typewriter for people to type messages for them, they also included photos of their grandparents wedding days (like we did!)

the grounds were all so picturesque, so much so i have dedicated a whole post on the venue for tomorrow, so check back in!

the groom (mike) did an AMAZING job on all the program, invites, menus etc, i loved how they used our nicknames for the place cards and how they dontaed to the cancer council in place of a bonboniere (and in honour of mike's father who passed not long ago)

confetti made from maps - adorable!

it was a bit of a whirlwind trip (and i got a lovely cold at the end) which meant i didn't get to experience byron fully so it would be great to go back for a little longer next time

until the next destination wedding peeps!
