these mutation chairs are designed by Belgian maarten de ceulaer, the pieces are meant to look like they could have formed organically, perhaps a result of a nuclear or chemical reaction. his idea is that one day, we could 'grow' furniture much like cloning animals or breeding (interesting?) made from foam spheres covered in rubber or velvet, they are composed by hand, meaning every piece is unique. click here to peep more of his projects
