0 peep loves {november}

I am a winter girl through and through (unless I'm on Waikiki beach then I'm a summer girl) so I apologise for the very winter-esque loves this month! The Hermes iWatch is dangerously tempting, as is this Moooi Egg vase from Space Furniture, the sideboard that dreams are made of from Maxalto, hi-top heaven in these Minna Parikka's, this sofa is also from Maxalto at Space,  the glorious bowl is from Aussie company Mooku, State of Escape have done it again with this new 'freestyle' cross body bag, and I am desperate for these Claire Aristides diamond earrings (plus its my birthday in 4 weeks)

Before West Elm came to Australia I used to scour the site dreaming of being able to get this type of stuff in Australia at such a great price point, despite us having Westy for a while now I still pop over to the US site to see what we're missing here and what we can expect in store soon. Fingers crossed we get some of these delights...

Finally, there ain't nothing more I love than a creatives' office. They are always so beautiful because they are chock full of what makes you feel your most creative. This is the office of Marni designer Consuelo Castiglioni (her whole home is featured here at Vogue)

2 newness

I like to think I have patience but the reality is I don't. We were talking about what we wanted to achieve this year and mine were all basically what I wanted to buy for the house, they're achievements right? Top of my list was a new mattress and second was new sofas. The mattress was bought pretty much the next day and then a certain someone happened to send me a link to some sweetness at West Elm that was at a price I couldn't say no to. So I bargained with myself, sell your current sofa for what the new ones cost and voila! No guilt required. But me being me, I decided that I couldn't wait for the sofa to sell (I had lots of enquiries from eBay and Gumtree mostly about where the cushions/lamps/coffee table were from) so I bit the bullet and bought the glorious performance velvet West Elm sofas with no bites on mine. Of course the new ones turn up and the old one hasn't sold so we disassemble the old one and store some in the bedroom some in the study (much to Jules annoyance) then magically last Saturday a guy came to see it and offered me my asking price which was a little more than the two new sofas! Bloody beauty

I'm so much happier with the two sofas as opposed to a modular, this feels much more grown up and 'me'

Ever since I've been doing the Bondi house I have been in a mood. Mood equals I want to change everything in my house. I had a quick insta sale of my coffee table and a few other things et voila, handy cash for newness! New West Elm coffee table, new artwork (painted by my mother in law), new cushions from an Etsy store, switched out my blue lamps for these neutrals (again from West Elm) and got some props out of the holiday cupboard. The horse bookends were a vinnies find for $10! Now I'm getting new art for the dining room (watch this space) and I got new lamps for the bedroom and fresh new linen, post to come!

Now what I reeeeeeealy want is 2 new sofas, no more sectional but being on mat leave means I can't make crazy expensive decisions like that so it will have to wait...

Oooooooh! What have we here West Elm? Please tell me these Geo Consoles will be available in Aurstralia? And how about these bad boys below? I am dying for those cubes, and that coffee table? This is definitely a more impressive range than what first came out. Finally, a little luxe for us Aussies!

3 west elm sydney

I finally made it out to West Elm/Pottery Barn/Williams Sonoma in Bondi last Saturday and was a little underwhelmed to tell you the truth. West Elm was pretty good, good to have another option other than Freedom et al but I was expecting more. As for Pottery Barn, I won't be rushing back there, it's a paint by numbers cookie cutter store in the palest of beiges. Willams Sonoma was good, great kitchen ware store and the cooking school was beautiful (plus one of the store boys looked EXACTLY like Robert Pattinson, english accent and all). This may sound rather negative, but I did find lovely things I would be more than thrilled to have in my home. Take this pink and orange rug above, or the marble topped spaghetti side table, or the faceted coffee table. I also found some great fur cushions and of course the chevron pouf. Anyone bought anything from there yet?
