i need something like this for the spare room/office. i have a tall ikea side-less one at the moment but its not weighty enough and hannah has bought my big ottoman that was at the back of the room so i need something to replace and fill the space. i love how this one is floating, because we are renting i obviously can't have that, but i would love something similar (this one is from montana). i also really love the thin lines as opposed to chunky ikea sides (although this ikea one looks okay) any suggestions of where to look in sydney are greatly appreciated!

Love this! How cool, not sure my husband would let me have something in that colour tho.
ReplyDeleteHi Claudia, last year my daughter's school were getting rid of some very weighty amd well made "old" pidgeon hole style cupboards similar to that in the picture but brown. They were giving them away for free. Perhaps you could look for similar items on e-bay or advertised in trading post etc. They are much stronger than Ikea furniture as they're made for the rigeurs of school children and can be painted any colourxxCorrina.
ReplyDeleteawesome idea Corrina! i will do some scouring on ebay tonight x
DeleteLOVE the colour of these units.
ReplyDeleteLast year I spray painted a cabinet of ours fluro pink... I started doing it inside and thought everything was going peachy, then I looked up from my "masterpiece" and there was fluro pink over spray ALL over the room... on the floor.. on the wall... on objects, on my shoes, on my tracksuit pants.... Luckily it wiped off easily.
My advice, if you paint your own and use spray paint: do it outdoors.
(I was never much of an accomplished graffiti artist back in the day... clearly ahahahahahaaa)
